TIME CHANGE: Eagles vs Buccaneers – Schedule Advisory Due to Humberto

Tampa, FL
 — Week 4 brings a heavyweight NFC clash as the Philadelphia Eagles visit the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium. The playoff-tinged matchup now carries a weather twist: Tropical Storm Humberto could bring heavy rain and 25–35 mph winds (with higher gusts) across the Tampa Bay area.

As of now, kickoff is scheduled for Sunday, September 28, 2025, at 4:25 PM EDT. The NFL and meteorological agencies are closely monitoring Humberto’s track. The league’s top priority is the safety of players, staff, and fans; therefore, the start time may be adjusted (earlier/later or moved to a different day) depending on conditions and local infrastructure.

Storylines to Watch

Jalen Hurts vs. Baker Mayfield
If wind and rain limit deep shots, the value of RPOs, quick game, and QB runs for Hurts only rises. For the Bucs, Mayfield must protect the football and lean on play-action in tough conditions.

Trench battle spotlight
The Eagles’ elite OL meets Vita VeaLavonte David, and a disciplined Bucs front seven. Conversely, Philly’s pass rush will look to keep Mayfield under steady pressure.

Playmakers in the storm
A.J. Brown/DeVonta Smith vs. Mike Evans/Chris Godwin: the weather may curb explosives, but contested-catch prowess in wind and rain can still flip the game.

Weather Factor

Raymond James is an outdoor stadium, so rain and wind can directly affect play quality:

  • Wet ball & slick turf → emphasis on runs, screens, and check-downs.

  • Special teams could swing the outcome (return fumbles, slips on punts/FGs).

  • Fourth-down decisions may be more conservative if wind complicates long field goals.

  • Fan Experience & Contingency Plans

    • Parking & Gates: Opening times may change; follow updates via Buccaneers, Eagles, and NFL apps and social channels.

  • Tickets: All tickets will be honored if the game moves to a different time or date.

  • What to Bring: Pack ponchos/rain jackets (umbrellas are often restricted). Build in extra travel time; heavy rain can cause localized flooding near Dale Mabry Hwy.

  • Tailgating: Open-flame rules may tighten under high winds—check morning advisories.

  • Broadcast

The game is slated for FOX in the Sunday afternoon window, with market-dependent streaming options (e.g., NFL+ in the U.S. and local rightsholders). Any time change will be announced alongside updated channel/stream details.

    Odds & Series Notes

    • Spread (reference): Eagles -2.5 to -3.0 (weather could move the line).

  • Over/Under (reference): ~44.0 — wind and rain may push this lower near kickoff.

  • Recent playoff angle: Tampa Bay has held the upper hand in several recent postseason meetings, adding spice to this Florida rematch.

  • Game Schedule (Subject to Weather Updates)

    • Matchup: Philadelphia Eagles @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers

  • Date: Sunday, September 28, 2025 (subject to change due to Humberto)

  • Kickoff: 4:25 PM EDT

  • Location: Raymond James Stadium, Tampa, Florida

  • For now, the game remains on schedule — but with Humberto closing in on Tampa Bay, Eagles–Buccaneers could be shaped as much by the skies as by the schemes. Keep alerts on, follow official updates, and travel safely!

Eagles Star CB Faces Family Tragedy After Week 5 Game as Military-Trained Skydiving Instructor Dies in Nashville
Philadelphia Eagles defensive back Cooper DeJean is mourning a profound personal loss following the team’s Week 5 game , as his cousin Justin Fuller a respected military-trained skydiving instructor, died in a tragic tandem jump accident near Nashville.   Fuller, 35, was fatally injured after becoming separated from his parachute harness mid-air during a jump organized by Go Skydive Nashville. His student survived after landing in a tree with the parachute deployed and was later rescued by firefighters. Police confirmed Fuller’s body was recovered in a wooded area off Ashland City Highway. The Nashville Fire Department called it “one of the most complex high-angle rescues in recent years,” commending its personnel for the effort. Justin Fuller, known by the nickname "Spidey," died after a tandem skydiving jump went wrong on Oct. 4, 2025, near Nashville, Tennessee.  (Facebook/Justin Fuller Spidey ) Fuller, known affectionately as “Spidey,” had completed more than 5,000 jumps and trained U.S. military personnel in advanced aerial maneuvers. Friends described him as “fearless, focused, and committed to lifting others higher — both in life and in the air.”   DeJean —whose mother is the younger sister of Fuller’s mother, grew up admiring his cousin’s discipline and sense of purpose. Family members say that influence helped shape his mental toughness and leadership on the field. A relative told local media, “Justin taught Dejean that strength isn’t about being unbreakable — it’s about standing firm when life hits hardest. That’s exactly how he lives and plays today.” In the Eagles’ defensive system, DeJean has steadily earned complete trust thanks to his versatility — working outside at corner, in the slot (nickel), and on coverage units — and standing out for top-end speed, precise tackling angles, and the ability to read quarterbacks. Coaches describe him as “calm, wise beyond his years, and disciplined at the catch point,” consistently maintaining leverage and finishing clean in tight spaces. Through the first five games of 2025, DeJean has played every defensive snap and totaled 36 tackles (26 solo) with five passes defensed, reinforcing his value on the perimeter and inside.  The Philadelphia Eagles have provided time and private support for DeJean and his family, ensuring he can grieve without team-related obligations. Teammates have stood beside him, honoring both his resilience and his family’s tradition of service. An FAA investigation into the accident is underway, while tributes to “Spidey” continue to pour in across social media from military colleagues, fellow skydivers, and fans nationwide.“He taught others to fly — now he flies higher than all of us,” one tribute read. DeJean kept his public remarks brief before being embraced by teammates:“He taught me not to fear the height — only the moment you forget to look down and pull someone else up with you. This week, I’m playing for him.”
