OFFICIAL: Chiefs' RB Will Say Goodbye to the Chiefs After Training Camp

The Kansas City Chiefs have sparked widespread speculation at training camp as inside sources claim that running back Elijah Mitchell is now on the team’s “cut list” ahead of the new season. With fierce competition in the RB room—Isiah Pacheco having secured the starting spot, and players like Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Deneric Prince making strong impressions—Mitchell’s chances are becoming increasingly slim.
Many sources believe that although Mitchell once drew attention with the 49ers, he hasn’t managed to quickly adapt to Andy Reid’s complex offense or stand out in recent practices.
However, when asked about Mitchell’s future, head coach Andy Reid gave a deliberately vague response:
“Elijah is a hard-working player; we appreciate his professionalism and attitude in the locker room. But roster decisions are always tough, and we’re still weighing all factors to do what’s best for the team.”

Chiefs fans are abuzz: Is this the end of the road for Mitchell in Kansas City, or does he still have a chance to prove himself in the final days of camp?
